Google and Intel have expanded their partnership to improve AI and cloud systems. The goal is to make AI infrastructure faster, cheaper, and more efficient.
Google will continue using Intel Xeon processors in its cloud data centers and will also upgrade to newer chips like Xeon 6. These chips help run AI and cloud tasks more smoothly.
The companies are also working on special chips called IPUs. These chips handle networking and security tasks so that main processors can focus on AI work.
This partnership is important because modern AI systems need a mix of different chips like CPUs and GPUs to work better together.
